A summer's day, thirsting for love!
Spits forth flames the sun
Cottony clouds burnt to ashes
The heart seeks a face that’ll cool
As body fights with heat rashes.
Dried up alike ponds and blood
Earth vaporized to dust
As eyes squint away the glare
Seek solace in memories I must.
Parched throats of doves and crows
Pants a pup with a paper tongue
Cuckoo’s the only one with a voice
To hear my cuckoo’s voice I yearn.
Thoughts too tired to wander
Wisdom fails, intelligence vanishes
In the desert of a loveless life
A lifeless seeks a love’s oasis.
